The Perils of Being a Mom: Or, How Your Kids See You

I received this recently from a friend: Someone had sent it to her. Through the beautiful magic of forwarding emails, I'd like to share what some child had turned in as homework:
The letter that was sent to the teacher the following day is enough to make your sides hurt:

Dear Miss Jones:
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.
I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot.
From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Sincerely, Miss Smith

Well, I shared the story about my son in preschool filling out a survey for the teacher to read aloud for Mother's Day to all the parents...in answer to the question "what does your mom like to do at night?" he answered "she likes to go out and party!". I worked for Pampered Chef at the time and we called them "Home Parties" when I went to work but no one else in the room knew that. I got quite a few disapproving looks.
